Strawberry Shortcake soap. I used the same whipping technique except I added colour. I whipped it until it was almost triple in size and then poured it into a loaf mould. I fragranced the fluffy pink and the clear red layers with Strawberry Jam and the clear base layer has oat bran and is fragranced with non-discolouring vanilla :)

Love your Goats, Oats, and Honey bars, anna! The Reese's PB cup looks good enough to eat!

Hi, PurpleMolly, it's good to see you! Your lemon meringue and strawberry shortcake soaps are super cute. They look good enough to eat, too!

Love the chunks in your Cherry Blossom soap, Melissa! I agree - maybe try a shot with just one or two soaps and get close. I'd showcase the soap and it speak for itself. A white background always brings the attention directly to the soap, which is good. I like to play around with scrapbooking sheets that I affix to an easel that I constructed out of a cardboard box. I try to stay away from backgrounds that are too busy, but you can get away with certain backgrounds depending on your soap. The more photos you take, the better you'll get at it. :)

Coolah, I love monkeys and I love soap. Therefore, I love your monkey soap!

Thanks.. sometimes a white background washes out the soap. So I think colored plain background would be more fitting. like this one I'm showing its got mostly white base with goldish brown ( cant wait for my BB order) so after taking it with white I opted to go blue to pop it out more. The scent is sandalwood. My hubby's favorite. Please let me know what you think of the soap.

Melissa

I made so many mistakes on this one. Burned up the fragrance, layered too quickly, and then cut it all crooked. Oh, I'm learnin' what not to do! I get why those slicers are so handy now!

Anna - I think they look pretty too! What fragrance are they?
Yes I did pour the whipped soap in first - thought I'd do it that way to give the wavy top :)
Melissa - another tip (or two). Photograph your soap before you wrap it that way it's clear and easy to see - the wrapping is a distraction and means that you can't see the soap clearly. Also if you have more than one of the soaps, use them to make a backdrop - as in make a pile of them or layer them at different angles. People love to see soaps from different sides!
