Color in lotion bars does not work well. I have used hemp oil to change up the color and fine cosmetic glitter to make some shimmer lotion and perfume bars that teens and young adults really enjoy.

I got the recipe from another website:

Exfoliating Lotion Bar
This lotion bar gently removes dry skin while moisturizing. It’s meant to be used on the feet, elbows

or knees. I would not recommend using this in sensitive areas like the face, neck or legs.

Instructions

Mix the Beeswax, Jojoba oil, Shea butter and Vitamin E oil and then melt slowly on low heat on the

stove. Do not microwave this recipe. Once melted, let cool until it is a bit thick, then add the sugar.

Press the mixture into one cupcake hole in a metal cupcake pan.

Let this cool completely, it’ll then pop right out of your cupcake pan. Rub onto skin as needed.

Ingredients

1/2 Ounce Beeswax
1/2 Ounce Jojoba Oil (I used almond oil instead)
1/2 Ounce Shea Butter
4 Vitamin E Capsules, pop them with a pin and squeeze the oil into the mix.
1 Tablespoon Table Sugar

I would up the sugar in that recipe and lower the amount of Vit. E. 1 capsule would be enough.

The recipe I've been using is 1.5 oz. cocoa butter, 1.5 oz shea butter, 3 oz beeswax and 3 oz liquid oil (I use avocado or sweet almond) It works great!

Hi ya! In regards to coloring lotion bars I think you could use colored jojoba beads! I have not used them for a lotion bar yet but I use them for bath melts.
They are cute little colored balls of wax that are good for gentle exfoliation or color in sugar scrubs and if you add them to warm things they melt right in and the color dissolves well. It is totally oil soluble =).
But with a lotion bar keep in mind your color will be jojoba bead color + yellow b/c of the beeswax. So purple and yellow don't make a very pretty purple, but pink and yellow would be nice.
