Heather, there is no reason you should not be feeling that way! Our pets give us so much and we should always feel as if it is our responsibility to take care of them. Although sometimes we have to come to the reality we are not in charge and he has moved on only to be waiting for you. If I was near I would sit and hold your hand, please remember we all care!

I am so sorry for your loss. We had to put our boy down 2 years ago, after he was with us for 11 years. We also have him in a wooden urn. We still miss him very much, but time can help you heal...it will eventually be less difficult. Hugs to you, sweetie.
