Oh No...

I was working with a small batch and added too much titanium Dioxide. Is the batch ruined? Please help

I added too much TD to my first batch, it ended up with small balls of TD precipitate. It looks a little spotting but it works super well!

The problem is that I added too much and the soap does not seem to be firming up....Is that normal?

About 4 hours....I know it is not very long, I just can't seem to get this soap making down....

I would give it some time. What was your recipe and how much did you add? Is it gelling?

Almond Oil, Sweet 170 grams 14.13%
Avocado Oil 680 grams 56.53%
Coconut Oil 113 grams 9.39%
Palm Oil 70 grams 5.82%
Sunflower Oil 170 grams 14.13%
Total Weight 1203 grams

And I added close to a tablespoon of TD to the lye-water....

Once I did that it cut the density in half and it no linger felt like it had substance. I just checked it and it seems to be firming up...

I feel like a child on Christmas Eve, waiting to open a gift

That's about 2.6 lbs. That's a lot of TD for that size batch. At this point, I would just wait. If the batch turns chalky or crumbles.....

PS. Avocado is a soft oil. I would reduce your 56.53%.

So, it has been a few days and the soap is solid but not firm. Does anyone have a recommendation?
