Teach Soap

I am, of course hehe. We've always had foxglove in the garden, we were told NEVER to touch it. Mom said "You touch, you die" and we listened.

We had Datura (Angel Trumpets) and Oleander in Florida. Growing up in NJ we had foxglove and learned early not to mess with it.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Speaking of possible hazardous additives to cp soap....what are your feelings about woad powder? I have read a lot about it (in the hunt for a natural blue!) and for the most part I have not found anything negative about it...it has long been used as a natural wool dye and some people use it to color/dye other things that come into close contact with skin including soap. But....in "The Soapmakers Companion", SMC recommends avoiding it.
Anyone have any experience or knowledge of woad?
