Any suggestions on scales?

I think I might have to replace my scale, my soap are turning out fine...so far, but I am questioning the accuracy (I believe I paid under $20)...so I was wondering what everyone else is using...do I need to invest $50-$60?

Isn't there a way to check the accuracy of a scale by using the weight of a quarter? I thought I read it somewhere on here, but can't find the thread.

A nickel weighs 5 grams. There are 28 grams in an ounce. The standard weight for a quarter is 5.670 grams.

I use my postal scale but I don't like using it for soap. I will have to check out BB for one.

I have a My Weight KD-8000 with an adapter for battery free power that I just love! I Like it much better then my other scale which is an Escali Aqua since the Escali jumps around between numbers too much. Having an adapter is great since it save loads on batteries and you don't have to worry about the accuracy of the scale as the battery gets low.

EBay. I bought a 1kg scale accurate to 1/10 gram for $10 carriage paid, and another, a stainless postal scale, 10Kg accurate to 2g, for another $12 carriage paid. They are both great.

I think the KD 8000 is the best by far, some may not agree but that is what works best for me. It fits fine for the space i have. i use it for many things and it is always right on the money. If you want something that is well worth the money then this is it, you wont go wrong.....
