Hey everyone!! One question, has anyone seen Absinthe flavor oil before? I like using it in my bath and body stuff and would like to know if there is such a thing so I can use it in lip products. I know that Anise is supposedly similar to Absinthe but I know that it is not an exact replica. If there isn't such a thing, Wwhat would I use as a mixture to achieve this flavor (scent)? Would I use Anise and something else? Thanks!!

Having had absinthe before, i can tell you that i can't tell the difference between absinthe and anise. I hate anise, so i didn't drink much of it. I was in Spain where you can get the real stuff too.

I would not use it as a "flavor" oil, but some absinthe have anise, some sort of a sugar note, wormwood and vanilla with hint of lemon. Some are also a combination of star anise, fennel, cinnamon cassia, nutmeg, melissa, fresh green herbs, amber and wood.
