Then you can leave out that part Linda.
One thing that I want to mention is that you should have a good thermometer. Some preservatives are temp sensitive and if you add them above the recommended temp, you could deactivate them. BrambleBerry now carries a little laser type thermometer which is useful. You don't need to touch anything in order to get a reading.

Looks good Linda except almond oil is "Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis"
You can pour when the lotion is completely emulsified. The lotion will not be thick at this point. Leave the caps off the bottles til the lotion cools. If you put the caps on right away, condensation will form at the top, which will have no preservative and could make your lotion get contaminated.

Just thought of another question - If I scent the lotion with FO/EO do I need to figure that amount as part of the water percentage? Example: if I use 1 oz of FO do I need to decrease the water by 1%? TIA

Soapbuddy, Did you use fractionated coconut oil in your lotion recipe? Not sure how to sanitized my tools either...Do i soak them in 5% bleach water or dip them and let them air dry? Making lotion today and i'm a little nervous about contaminating it in any way.
