I do think that there could be some concern, it crossed my mind anyways. But then this is not for use on the body, and there are many products - including food- that utilize NaOH. But when I made this soap I measured VERY carefully. I agree with Linda, I do not want the extra oils in the laundry to be picked up by the clothing... that would just attract more dirt to them. And as usual I did test for zap and there was none!

You just have to be very careful about measuring and 0% superfatted soap is only for laundry or as a cleaning agent. Not on your skin! I personally go the 0% route because I don't want excess oils to get in my clothes. I think they do start to smell after a while.
