Teach Soap

Hi everyone ,still plugging away at my HP endeavor,used up 2lbs of LYE in a week and a half! Anyway my question is ,I made a soap scented with Anise and Fennel for a licorice scent, I wanted to color some of the soap BLACK and layer it with the uncolored soap ,I used BB liquid colr I had bought some time ago and I used alot but still couldn't get a real BLACK, close but not as dark as I wanted. What is the best colorant to use to get a really Black soap???????

Charcoal will get you a black soap. I think about 1 tsp per pound will work. It is easy to overdo and end up with soap that lathers grey.

You can mix this with a little of your oil, then add it to your soap at thin trace. It works great!

Thanks again ,Is there particular oils to use if you want a really white soap with out adding TD?
