Wow jrose absolutely gorgeous swirls. The colors are lovely too! I imagine that the fragrance is perfect for these soaps! NICE!

Thank you, everybody! I forgot to mention that the fragrance is Element's "Sweet Pumpkin." I hope they don't get much darker, too. The soaps are a little over a week old now. I left the white swirls unscented, so even if the soap does get a bit darker, the swirls should still give a nice contrast.

Hi all, I have offically completed my first soap other than M&P ,I used my crockpot and followed TJ's recipe in the book that I got with my BB supplies,I was so geared up with googles apron long sleeves AND a face mask, I kept fogging up the glasses and had to keep stepping away from laughing so hard,I guess it was the mask and as I would breath it just got under my goggles and well you get the picture. I actually was able to use my heavy duty molds and here is a picture of one of the soaps which I painted with soap paints because the design did not pick up as I liked with the HP tecnique

I don't wear a mask, just goggles and I've had them fog up lots of times this summer because of the heat!

Nice job and what a patient painter! I admire that! Did you share the fragrance?

You did an excellent job. I do wear a mask, but just for the initial mixing of the lye. My glasses are safty glasses for work so no goggle for me.

I did the soap in orange essential oil with a little clove and added some cinn and nutmeg. One thing I noticed is that it seems to take alot more fragrance to scent this soap I waited as long as i could to get the temp down so my EO wouldn't flash off but i don't think it was quite cool enough. and thanks all,it feels great to have a hobby that I love and can share with you all.

Be aware that standard orange oil will fade in soap.
