Teach Soap

I am working on opening a store front in a few months and have had clients ask me if I would be giving soap making lessons and selling supplies as they think it would be fun and we have nothing like that around. Any of you do this in your stores? I would have to do a lot of research, on wholesalers, but I think it might be fun?!

I am excited for you! We teach soap making at our store on average 3 nights a week. It is fun for both us and our customers. We teach MP classes hands on, but for CP method we do a demo, so our students are not in contact with the lye. We do have insurance and make sure our teachers also have their own insurance that carry over when they work in our store. Childrens bithday parties are also a great hit (MP only). We also rent out our space to other soapmakers to teach classes. Students take home 1/2 of the soap we make then the other 1/2 goes on our shelves for sale, so your not only making money on the class but also building inventory, by making double batches.

We currently do not carry supplies as we simply dont have the space, but maybe in the future if we expand. PM me if you need any help.
