Teach Soap

Can anyone share some insight with me about the BB Pumpkin Lager fragrance oil? I'm wondering how it would be in a bath salt or fizzy and soap. Will it smell too beer-y? Would it discolor in those products?

I'm looking for "holiday-ish" scents for a show I'm doing in November. I'm a big fruit fan, but those fragrances aren't really going to go with the season. Any tips?

The Pumpkin Lager in cold process is amazing! It goes to a brown color. It does not smell like beer at all, more of a spicy fragrance. I made mine with a white frothy looking top to add interest.

Thanks for the feedback! I wonder about the browning factor in salts...hmmm.

Hi, FairyCute! I've only used the Pumpkin Lager FO in cold process soap, so I don't know how it would do in bath salts. My soap did discolor to a dark brown like BB says in their description (I also used a brown nut ale in place of some of the water in my recipe, so that contributed to the brown color, too). The Pumpkin Lager smells fantastic, although it doesn't really smell much like beer to me. It smells more like pumpkin pie and maple syrup, which is still quite yummy and definitely autumn-like!

I used it in an MP soap and it smells awesome! Not like soap at all. When I colored it, I used a brown/orange color, so not sure about it discoloring salts. It does smell great. I did notice, however, that it is a bit more strong than some other FOs I've used in the past and I reduced the amount that I add. So whatever you do add it to, I'd experiment to find a strength that you like. I like my stuff to have a nice smell, but don't want to feel like I'm wearing perfume after.
