I buy palm oil in the large 5 gallon tub from BB and it was recommended by AM to melt down the entire tub and stir well so that all the essential parts of the oil are incorporated throughout the tub. When I used the smaller bags, I would melt the entire bag with each use.

cinebella, that palm is not homogenized so it does need to be melted and stirred every time you wish to use it.

Jenove, sorry I cant help you, I dont use palm at all, and when I began there was no such beast as homogenized, Lol. But you should contact the company/vendor and check with them, so you will know for sure.

Soaper's Choice has a disclaimer on their website that they aren't responsible for homogenized palm oil that has melted during shipping, so I imagine you would have to remelt before every use, just like regular palm oil.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

That's the very reason i don't buy palm oil in summer season. Though I'm kind of running out soon too. I'll go local this time to avoid the melting.

I was purchasing the 50lb pails of regular po from soapers choice but after melting down about 9 of those I had had enough!! I just purchased the homogenized cube and got it a couple days ago. It was soft but definitely not liquid at all. I live in central fl so i know it had a hot trip here! I go through 100 lbs in 3 weeks

The disclaimer has nothing to do with homogenized or not, it has to do with the melted oil part. Some people expect it to be solid, and have opened it up and spilled because it wasnt. This is the disclaimer. It is not their fault if it is melted and it causes damage. Really, contact the vendor and ask about the homogenized.

I would tend to think that it would stay homogenized, otherwise what good would offering it be? I mean why would anyone pay extra to get something that someone stirred once, but would have to be stirred again if it remelted. But call or email and ask the vendor to be certain.
