Teach Soap

HI all,
most of my soap recipes use palm oil and/or cocoa butter, both of which give it a lovely creamy pale yellow/tan color.
I would like, however, a very white bar. Which oils tend to give a white color? With the harder oils, it is obvious which ones have more color, but with the liquid oils - harder to tell.

You can try coconut, palm kernel and or extra light olive oil. Add some castor for the bubbbleage factor.

You can also use lard which is very white and sub out part of your olive with soybean oil, or use a recipe with Crisco shortening if you don't want animal products.

Babassu is much whiter than coconut and has much the same properties.

Its cheaper than Jojoba at $100.00 a gallon now

the salt bar i made with coconut was very white and beautiful.
