Hello all, I have recently been given a Magic Bullet (its like a mini blender) and was wondering if this would be suitable for mixing ingrediants and such for lotions etc. I would much prefer to use this then going out and buying a proper mixer. But would it be possible to do this? And if it was possible would i have to mix the same amount of time as the recipie tells me to do in a standard mixer?
Thanks all! :)

That type of a blender doesn't have enough shear to properly emulsify lotion. Once you use it for lotion you won't be able to use it for anything else due to sanitation issues. The smaller the recipe, the harder it is to get it accurate. Do you have an accurate scale? I would save your Magic Bullet for food stuffs. I don't know where you live, but you can buy a stick blender at places like Walmart or Target and get one when it's on sale.

I agree - I just bought a spare stick blender at Walmart for $18 - well worth it!
