Teach Soap

I love silicone molds for everything else I do: candles - mp soaps, etc...anyone ever use this type of mold for their logs of cp?

Did you like it? Was it worth the money?

I have used silcone molds; loaf and some individual 3-D. I would say they are my favorite. I can use in the fridge, freezer or oven. The soap is very easy to release from. I do have a wood slab mold and there are times when this gives me the results I am looking for. There are many other types of molds out there but not wanting to invest hundreds of dollars on a mold this has worked for me. My next will be the 12 bar silicone mold from BB. I have a circle on that I like using.

I luv the silicone 12 bar mold from BB! It is great for testing, for when you have just a bit of extra batter, or for when you want consistent shape or even when you just want to play. Whatever, it is just great! I usually make enough so that when I pour my loaf molds, I can also have enough for at least one silicone mold bar. Then I can keep it to test fragrance longevity and color stick, or I can use it for a sample. Sometimes I pour more so that I can gel my loaf, and leave the silicon bars un-gelled.

The silicone loaf molds are great too, though I dont know first hand, cuz I haven't found any that I am willing to pay for yet. But I have many silicone molds for specialty soaps and I love them. No lining is an awesome thing!

I am most excited because they are square and of course silicone. Like I said I have a circle one, my slab mold gives me rectangle shapes, so square is my next choice. It is nice to have options. Tammy, I do the same thing with my circle one, use it for extra from pouring the loaf mold.

I love my silicone molds! I have 2 loaf molds and the 12 bar mold from BB. I was thinking about getting several of the "Oops" molds from BB to have on hand for overflow from a recipe. Has anyone used them?

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

LJM, I havent used them, but I would think they'd be great for that, as well as test bars. My understanding is that there is nothing wrong with the mold itself, just that it is cut away and made a single after its mates have been damaged. Is that right, or am I confused? Ok, well, maybe I'd better just stick with the "am I right?" part and leave the confused for a different coversation!
