I have never heard of a copyrighted mold. That is what they make the molds for. You can always ask the vendors of the molds just to make sure though. (I know that BB's molds and Milky Way's molds are not).

Okay, I looked at different mold websites and so far I've found that the mold designs are copyrighted, but the soaps made from these molds are not. The copyright is so that the molds themselves can't be resold, duplicated or reproduced without the mold designer's or copyright owner's consent. So you can sell your soaps made from these molds without qualms, just don't make more molds from the original soap mold. Hope this helps!

Hi PJ! I know, your website was one of those I remembered seeing that had these copyrighted mold designs and images. Some others that are very specific about their mold copyrights are Penguin Love Molds and Fine Art Molds.

I agree with most every one of Lauri's suggestions, and want to add . Chase Creative Molds has some very nice molds, including embeds, although they're known more for their limited edition artwork type molds and will even create custom molds or sell you the copyright to their molds. Mold Market Molds and Milky Way Molds direct websites require a $50 minimum purchase not including S&H. GoPlanetEarth.com is the retail distributor for Mold Market Molds and has a $25 minimum purchase requirement, but has a lot of other nice stuff. Brambleberry carries most if not all of the Milky Way molds with no minimum purchase requirement, plus they carry some Aloha Molds, Chase Creative molds and embed molds too, including a strawberry one.

If you want a simple raspberry embed mold, then try . Just FYI though, these molds are only for soapmaking, not candlemaking. You could also try Penguin Love Molds on Ebay . I've bought from him before and his molds are very detailed quality silicone and can be used for both soapmaking and candlemaking. He has some pie molds in his store right now and they cost less than $30 last time I checked.

Precision Molds used to be owned by someone who made soap molds - I guess they are not around anymore. Army had some god ones though. ( I only do slab and log molds now, so I'm out of touch!)
