So I'm getting started to look for insurance for making soap, if I also would like to make lotions, creams etc in the future would that be under the soap insurance ( liability) or do you need a cosmetic, lotion etc, extra liability insurance???
So many things to consider.....

You should check with the policies directly to see if they work for what you need and are making. Two places to look into would be Handcrafted soapmakers guild and indie beauty network. Both groups offer insurance, at a good rate, start there to see if they offer what you want. I believe that you can contact the insurance companies that hold these group policies with additional questions too.

good luck

RLI is great. Nicely priced and they do the soap, lotion, etc..but not candles and if your business is home based and small it's a good starting point. Its a general personal care product policy.
