I made a salt bar last week, I used rather large sea salts and I think I might have let it harden up a little to much before cutting. It had started to crack a bit and was very difficult to cut without wrecking! I was a little disappointed with how it turned out but I used some in the shower yesterday (I was being impatient and wanted to see what they were like since I had never seen them before!) and I loved it! Super lather and lots of bubbles, it just felt so silky! It actually wasn't that drying even though it was new! I will definitely use smaller sea salts next time.

Cool Melissa! Can I ask if you used the recipe posted by Magic Hands or the all coconut recipe or something totally different? I want to try a salt bar soon.

Great Job Melissa! Glad to know that you liked them and that they weren't too drying. What % coconut oil did you use, if you don't mind me asking? And what % SF?
I haven't tried mine yet, but I am getting anxious too, so maybe soon. I can say they look pretty good and smell great, but I think I will give it another week at least. :D

I'm glad it came out ok. I have to cut my salt bars within about 4 hours while the soap is still pretty hot. Otherwise it crumbles.

I also tried my yucky salt bars early and liked them which is why I would kind of like to make them work. I used the Majic Hands recipe.
