Great job Mirto! The layers and swirling are just lovely. I too love the blue with the white swirl through it - it looks very artistic!
Re: White layer lifting off - you may have let the layer before set up too much and then poured the white layer too cold. Maybe you didn't spritz enough with alcohol before you poured it. Sometimes you can also do all the right things and it still happens! Never mind - the soaps are still fabulous!

Here is a soap that I've made recently. I had a bit of a "drama" with some Cold Water fragranced soap so shoved them in a bag (while I got over my temper tantrum) and then a month later shaved them into curls and embedded them into the same fragrance clear blue bars. I was going for the look of the beach with the colours of beach glass. MUCH HAPPIER! lol

A new one. I think I will make the black thicker in future, but I ran out of base! It's called Pearly Queen. (If you don't know what a Pearly Queen is, type it into Google). Its one of my London-centric soaps. This one is intended to be energy boosting, and the inspiration was a friend who is always looking for things to boost her energy levels and is actually by descent a real life Pearly Queen! I spent ages making the little soap mother-of-pearl style buttons you can see embedded. It didn't turn out as well as I intended, but its ok. It smells great. Citrus, water lily, jasmine and gardenia are the main scents, but there are lots of other energy boosting essential oils in there too!

P-Molly: Love the color and look of your soaps. I can not imagin you having a tantrum.

Magia: I love the sparkles in that soap, but it sounds as if the fragrance is the best part. Wish we could smell it.

I was trying to make a crown shape with the buttons. Will try something else next time. Maybe a pattern. I'll probably do it in a loaf too. So the black is MUCH thicker. I can't think of a mould that would get the buttons any smaller and still be useable. These were done using (thoroughly cleaned) blister packs from round headache soaps!

Also the clear soap I embedded the buttons in on the top seemed to give things a blueish sheen. Not sure if that was down to the essential oils etc that were in there. I realised that I bought this soap base from a different supplier to normal, which might be why I've been having some issues with it. I think I might need a little titanium oxide in with the black too, just to make it more opaque, as the mica leaves it still kind of transparent.

Magia I did look up Pearl King and Queen I love to read about the traditions of others. Thank you. The glittery soap with the buttons is pretty and unique to me also.

Thank you Mella! I feel flattered that i inspired you to make such a beautiful soap! Sometimes I find the soaps we make out of the bits and pieces and the "happy accidents" that aren't quite what we intended can be some of the loveliest soaps!
