I'm experimenting with a "Plain Jane" bar - no scent, no perfume, just soap - and trying to make it pretty enough to catch the eye. Here's what I cut this morning. I'm going to texture the top of the next one with a popsicle stick instead of a whisk and see what happens.

Hmm. That didn't work.

Nice! I've made plain soap too and scored the top with a vegetable peeler after unmolding to make it more interesting.

Just cut my newest 'pieces of gold'. First try at embedding a circle in my CP soap. I will try this process again.

And these are for my mom(the rose grower) and my sister (the shopaholic)!

Very nice. I like the shopper! I want to try embedding after I get the loaf mold I just ordered. And swirling. and layering! LOL

So nice with the colors and the embeds! What is the fragrance, or did I miss that?

Thanks everyone... I continue to learn with each attemp I make. The fragrance is:
green = cucumber melon (I just wanted to use this one up, like I said was my soaping resolution)
gold = orange 10x (this part is M&P so it should stick). Oddly enough they do complement each other.
I love my little shopper girl.... think this is one mold I will use alot.

Very cute, and I like the way the colors go together. I wouldn't have thought to pair them that way, but they look very nice. Which method do you use to get your M&P to adhere well to the CP?

The colors were inspired by 1) pieces of gold on a green irish landscape for St. Pattys day and 2. Of course the Packers! and the ducks ! Both are my favorite football teams.

As for getting the M&P to stick.... I am still new to this so I just do it. I did not gel. For the 'coins' I do find that if I push them in far enough the CP soap holds them in place. The molded soaps - I just did the M&P first, let it set up well and poured the CP soap over it. The rose is a little tricky to get out but with practice I'm sure I will get better.
