Teach Soap

For some reason, I can't remember why, I bought gold mica. Now I am not real sure what to do with it. I attempted to put bronze veins in a batch with limited success. I followed the procedure in the ESine publication. I put a layer of soap in the bottom of the mold. Sprinkled some mice on top of that, not so much that the next layer didn't have soap to adhere with, then gently poured the next layer. Maybe that is what veins are supposed to look like. Of course it was just a straight line.

For cold process soap you can use it for swirling. After the soap reaches a light trace, separate about a 1/3 of the raw soap into a safe container and add mica to that. You will need quite a bit of mica, since CP soap is not see through. This you can either swirl back into your pot, then pour into your mold, or pour the uncolored batch into the mold then pour the mica soap in a swirl pattern.

Last time I had pretty good luck with swirl in the pot. I will try that again.
