well i had a go over the weekend at cp soap and to my surprise it has turned out lovely.i made olive oil oat and orange soap .and it drying out nicely now .ill put some pics on when i find my camera

i was wondering could you use mint sauce or would the vinegar react badly

also what do you prefer hot or cold process .i think i lie the look of making hot soap but not sure if im that brave at the min

Congrats on your soap!
Mint sauce usually has pectin and lots of sugar. Vinegar would neutralize some of your lye. I wouldn't do it.
