Teach Soap

Hello all, this is just a note to let you know that joining up with your group has been one of the best things I've done in years. I appreciate all the help, wonderful tips, and the expertise of all those that have participated in making this possible for all of us. You have no idea how valuable you are. We don't have much in the way of tutoring for soapmaking in New Zealand, and your website is a saviour for those that lose their way, or would lose their way, if not for you all. A hearty and heartfelt thanks for making this possible.
You have saved me a lot of grief, and loads of valuable ingredients from hitting the bottom of the rubbish bin. Your guidance and information is above value, it's truly priceless. From a very happy kiwi.

So the weakness is chocolate brownies, is it?! I have someone else who lives in this house that also has that craving. I try to stay away from soaps that look too much like the real thing... afraid someone will take a bite by accident.

i was on the other forum for a while until comming here. they gang up on people really bad on the other forum especially newbies. you can get anything out of supersoaps with a fresh pan of brownies. all the time his wife wants something new she makes him brownies. it is really funny. i love this place and the people here and genuine and very kind. thank you everyone.

Aw thanks! We try to keep everything super kind and loving here. After all, soapmaking starts as a science but the rest of it is art and what is art but personal preference? It's great that we all have this one passion that draws us together.

PS - I'm becoming quite the football fan lately too! =)

That's very nice of everyone but we shouldn't get too far off track now. We need to establish who is making the brownies and when. This forum is about making soap.....which we will return to as soon as someone makes the brownies.

I owe soap to some folks here from the football games over the weekend. And you know who you are. PM me your address and I'll pay my dues. The team was just outplayed by GB. No excuses. One team just played better than the other and those teams were victorious. Congratulations to the victors. Now let's not forget about the brownies.

I'm willing to wager a half dozen brownies for another bar of soap on the 'soaper"-bowl outcome.

Sorry SuperSoaper, the brownies wouldn't survive the flight from New Zealand. But my guess is there will be plenty of brownie makers over there that would oblige. Mine would be Triple Chocolate Death by Chocolate Brownies, then you would all be buzzing on a huge sugar rush.

I made a Spiced Chocolate Cake Soap batch and pouring it into an old Gateau mould. Wow that was an amazing soap. All cocoa, coconut, cinnamon, mixed spice, ginger, and Apricot Kernel oil, mixed into a main batch of cocoa butter, sunflower oil and castor oil, people kept trying to eat it, it smelt so real. The result was wonderful, will try it next time with Chocolate Essential oil, just to give it that extra blast of chocolate. Happy Kiwi.

BarbaraMay, I would swim to NZ for those brownies!! You're right though....they wouldn't survive.

Oh, Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles. As much as I would love to accept your offer, I cannot bet against a NFC team in the "soaper bowl"!!! Besides, it would be taking advantage of you betting again without first paying my first debt. I have your address and I will send you a bar of something I experimented with. How about the Lanolin Bar? It doesn't smell bad at all. I scented with Tea Tree EO. How about if we negotiate privately and come up with something to swap for the brownies?

It was a heck of a trip and Chicago was nuts last night....even after the loss. I am glad that we got a few folks here watching the games.

And as much as I love this forum, I've learned that no personal information is sacred with Celeste hanging around. My full bio is discussed here every time she replies to something. So much for anonymity. It's ok Celeste. I'm not ashamed of anything.

All joking aside (which is hard for me to do). This place is the cat's meow.

(You can really tell that I'm studying and practicing my idioms huh? I found an app that teaches 3 new idioms a day. It's awesome!!)

SuperSoaper, Love to hear that you are rooting for the 'hometeam'! No matter what the outcome of this next game I am still thrilled just to have 'made it to the dance'. Any of your soaps is fine by me, I fairly easy to please.
