Teach Soap

I made some a small batch of pink grapefruit-scented CP last weekend. Apparently I added the fragrance when the mixture was still too hot because I can barely smell any fragrance now and it hasn't even been a week since I made this soap.

Sooooo . . . I chopped up the pieces of soap (it's a very pretty shade of pink!) and I was wondering if, instead of rebatching, I could add these pieces of pink confetti-looking CP to a clear melt & pour soap, along with more fragrance.

Is this possible to do and, if so, should I do it right away or wait for the pink grapefruit CP pieces to cure for 4 weeks first? Any tricks I need to know before attempting this?

I've done CP shavings into MP soap, so I don't see why not.

Did yours turn out well? I've never embedded anything before. Do I have to spray alcohol on the CP pieces?

And just so I don't make this same mistake again, what temperature should my CP oil & lye mixture be before I add my fragrance oil
to it?

Can regular CP soap get too cool before pouring? I mean, is there a temp at which you've waited too long to pour?

So it's more a matter of the thickness of the mixture than the actual temperature?
