Thank you all so much for the replys!! I am so excited about making CP soap. I tend to analyze everything to death until I am comfortable that I won't make any huge mistakes. I love this forum! I will post some pictures once I get going.

I PH strip test and only once tried the zap test :) I test on myself and if it feels mild after a few washes and test strip looks at 9.5 I am good to go.

I just pulled out some year old bars that I was going to cut into sample sizes for a retreat I'm going on this weekend and they were SO hard, I could barely cut them. The one actually broke into pieces. They were several different formulas and soaps that were indent-able after a good cure. Just thought I would share this info for anyone that wants to store in a log!
