I've made a layered loaf soap with embedded tubular hearts and I've ended up with a funny line between each pour. The main soap was all made at the same time (fragranced, coloured etc) so it's all the same but it's dried as if it's different batches and there's a funny dark line between each pour! I used an FO I've used lots before and never had a problem and also a liquid dispersion colour. There's a little bit of cosmetic glitter stirred in but that seems to be suspended pretty evenly. It's the BBs standard clear base (not ultra clear) Any ideas?

Thank you wildchild and soapbuddy - I thought it was rather pretty myself lol. It also smells delightful but the lines in the layers are really quite annoying! I hope someone out there can shed some light on what happened.

Were the embeds molded in silicone or tin? What was the material of the molds?

Mella the embeds were moulded in silicon and then the whole loaf was poured in the clear plastic loaf mold. I've used the embeds before and never had this problem!! Any ideas are more than welcome!

It may sound silly but did you wait too long between pours? I have had that happen to me before during layering.

What a mysteryment! Well did you reheat the pink or not stir it well? Perhaps some of the color sank to make the line? I hope someone knows!
