Thanks bubbly627! I really appreciate it, How do you all store your soaps when they are curing? do you line them up in a box with no cover? or do you keep them covered? Do they stay in a warm room or a room temperature room?

Your soaps need to cure, so keep them uncovered. I keep mine on a rack at room temp.

Hi Elaina,

Here is a recipe I use quite often, I switch it up sometimes, but this one produces a very nice hard bar with great suds & a creamy feel to it. I do add tussah silk to the lye water, but you don't have to. I've listed recipes for a 2lb loaf for you. I'm not sure what measurements you use, so I've listed the measurements in pounds, ounces, or grams. Start simple & use your creativity to try new things along the way. I believe soaping is an art & the more you do it, the better you get at it

2lb batch
Distilled Water .76pounds/12.16ounces/344.73grams
Lye .28pounds/4.48ounces/127.077grams
Olive Oil (30%) 0.6pounds/9.6ounces/272.155grams
Palm oil (25%) 0.5pounds/8ounces/226.796grams
Coconut Oil (25%) 0.5pounds/8ounces/226.796grams
Shea Butter (20%) 0.4pounds/6.4ounces/181.437grams

can that recipe be done as cpop? I am new to soaping as well...Only have 2 loaves of cpop under my belt. (and 1 cp loaf)...but it is addicting...and I love it...
Also what does bees wax do for soap? I don't think that can be used cpop...but not sure...
