I bought some generic stevia and was wondering how much I should use in lip balms...I don't want it to be too sweet, but I want a nice smelling/tasting lip balm...any thoughts about a stevia threshhold?

You need to infuse it into one of your oils first. Try the stevia at 1% infused in oil. Some of the grains will not dissolve, so you might need to strain it. Or add a tiny bit of stevia into your flavor oil. The problem with stevia is that's it's water soluble and there is no water in lip balms.

oh!!!!!! yikes. hmm how do people sweeten the lip balms then? I don't want to it be like icing on the lips, but maybe a hint of flavor? should I use honey?
