cen any bady have a good recpie for eczema thet he can shere?or wat are good oils/butter for eczema?

I don't have any actual lotion recipes but just from all the reading I do about essential oils and natural remedies, a few things for you to consider:

~ Oils high in omega-fatty acid are the preferred carrier oils for eczema (i.e. evening primrose, avocado, almond, or jojoba) although any natural cold-pressed vegetable oil is fine, including olive oil.
~ Useful essential oils for eczema include chamomile, clary sage, frankincense, geranium, lavender, sandalwood, tea tree
~ Aloe also has healing properties
~ I read an article on Emu oil being very good for that sort of thing as well but that is one thing I have not read much about.

Tea tree will be the only option that you may find difficult to blend with other scents with as its scent is rather camphoraceous (sp?) and tends to overpower a lot of other scents. I hope this helps to give you a starting point.

Different people react differently. I would experiment with small amounts of ingredients and see what works for you. Lavender makes my daughter itch.

good tip soabbuddy. totally forgot to add that! i'm glad there are people like you on this forum watching what us sleep deprived soapers are blathering on about. Why was i up at 1am?? lol

To add to that, tea tree can be irritating as well to some people. for other types of skin issues (i.e. scabies, ringworm, etc.) I believe the recommended "dose" is a 5% to 10% dilution in order to be effective but again, has been known to cause dermititis in some individuals.

I can tell you from my daughters point of view, she had really bad eczema and has had no problems for the past two years using my handmade soap. I think any good handmade soap with any oils will help. She can tollerate fragrance oils and essential oils just fine if you keep it light handed. Good luck and fyi I use a mix of almond, palm, coconut and sunflower so it's nothing too fancy.

As a topical treatment Apple Cider Vinegar is a good start. Try drinking 1 teaspoon ACV with water or juice or tea each day- the taste is awful but it's known to help.
