Teach Soap

This might belong in a different forum, but it didn't seem to match any of them, so I am posting it here.
I just got my latest shipment of supplies in from BB and I must say that the grab bag I tossed into my cart on an impulse was beyond expectations.
I was expecting a few nice goodies and the site said it would be at least a $30 value for a cost of $15 so I thought wth I'll go for it. WOW! Much more than I ever expected. Most of the goodies were full sized packages, everything seems to be current products (not old, sitting on a back shelf, etc). The 3 fo's were larger than I think the sample sizes are normally. The colored loofa was a generous size bag, green tea coloring was a nice bonus as I have an upcoming project where I'll be making a few products using green tea. And even a very nice mold that I had been considering purchasing myself (your packaging peeps must be peeking in my head Anne-Marie). There was some other things included as well, like 2 packages of soap base, and more. Everything was a fabulous surprize.
Anne-Marie, your team is doing an outstanding job and I just want to say thanks to you and your peeps at Brambleberry for brightening my day!

Great! I am so happy to read that you were thrilled with what you got. We have a lot of great molds that have one cavity damaged in them so we're including those in the grab bags right now which definitely is fun.

I am more than pleased Anne-Marie, I am thrilled. If the mold has an imperfection, it's not one I can see, so it shouldnt be visible in the finished product either. It was the japanese kanji mold and I had been considering buying it for awhile. The Brambleberry elves were reading my mind... again.

I just got a grab bag too, delivered today, and I have to say I am learning that I LOVE surprises! I got that green tea colorant too, but is it for soap or is it for candles? Also, how do you use the colored loofah? I am loving these Fragrances that came in too, but it says they are mixed, that is my only downside. I wish they knew what they were so i could buy more somehow!

where do we buy the grab bags?

I'm so excited for my grab bag...after reading about all of the cool goodies that you guys got, I ordered one of my own...now if it would just show up...the suspense is killing me!

It came! It came!!

I got a cute horse mold (full bodied, too, so it's not channeling some Godfather moment) and a cute piggy mold, and the green tea colorant (I wonder if I can use it for bath bombs?) and a huge bottle of Gardenia FO (perfect!! I'm originally from Hawaii, so it reminds me of home), plus a mystery soap base, plus 2 kanji molds! I think there may have been another item, but I sort of tore into everything that came, so I now have no idea what is what, having immediately thrown away the packaging list...oops!

I'm so so so excited!! I can't wait to make more soaps! Too bad I can't make any until Thursday (dance rehearsal for the next 2 nights! boo!) but at least now I have a lot more to play with! Thank you Anne-Marie and BB! This made my day all better!

My box came today. I have similar items to Framfram.

The horse and piggy molds, two chinese looking molds, an oil bottle with a pink label that says English Rose and then in pen says "energy", a bottle with an orange-yellow label that says "Tangerine" and in permanent marker says "and seamoss," a second pink labeled bottle that says "Gardenia" on the label, with "and fog garden" written on it. Plus some sort of liquid color- like an indigo. Plus a mystery soap base and some walnut seed powder.

I'm pretty new to Bramble Berry, so if anyone can tell me a little more about these oils and the liquid color, I'd be much obliged

the energy is an FO blend from BB that I've been meaning to try!

I'm guessing the bottled oils are all Fragrance Oils. Sea Moss essential oil would scare me.

Liquid color is for coloring soaps. Man! Now I wish I had ordered another grab bag with my order!!!

I had a green tea liquid colorant in my grab bag, which I just used to make some sugar scrub cubes - it turned out a nice light green color!

I dont know what they are but they smell wonderful I don't know when I'll ever use them all though. Goodness, those are some decent sized bottles.

How do you use the liquid colorant? Do you dilute it or just use a few drops in your melt and pour soap? I've never used colors in cold process soap.

Thanks I used the piggy and horse molds tonight for my daughter (peanut and tater) and the color is really pretty- a nice deep indigo blue It only took a few drops ...
