Hi everyone, I was wondering how I should add EWax to my ingredients list on a lotion label.
Do I just list the term Ewax or do I list the ingredients that make up Ewax.
And what are the ingredients in Brambleberry Ewax, does it differ from other suppliers?

Also, for preservatives, would you use the broad term such as Optiphen or Germall Plus or
would you list the ingredients within the preservative?

E-wax you list as e-wax. Optiphen is Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol
Germall Plus is (if liquid) Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

Thank you very much soapbuddy for your help. One more question, is it
necessary to list ingredients on the label from largest quantity to smallest?
And in that case how do I know the exact amount of each ingredient in, lets say
Optiphen, so I can list ALL the ingredients in my lotion in the correct descending
order.

Was wondering, why is it that the large lotion manufacturers
do not use emulsifying wax as their emulsifier, I don't think
I've ever noticed that term on a lotion.

Just curious i guess.

I have a question. I used white MP soap base, and then added BB's "Deep Purple Labcolor" to it for a really beautiful lavender color. Anyways, the INCI for it says "INCI: Mica, Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Ferric Ferrocyanide" So my first question is how do I list that on the ingredients? Do I say
Deep Purple Labcolor: and then list the 4 ingredients? Or do I just put those ingredients at the end, not having to specify that it was for the coloring those ingredients were in.

2nd question: If I have to list the name of the colorant:followed by those 4 ingredients, do I still have to list titanium dioxide again since it was already in the list for the white soap itself? I would assume not, but wasn't sure. What do you guys usually do?

I list mica as mica. If I use Titanium Dioxide, than I add it to the ingredient list in descending order.

Ok, but the ingredient I added was called "deep purple labcolors, and mica is on the ingredient list for that. If it were just mica by itself that would be different, but deep purple labcolor (which is notice is now out of stock indefinately at BB has 4 ingredients in itself. But thanks for the info about titanium dioxide. If it's in there more prominently then the color you add, I wouldn't think you'd have to list it again either. Thanks!

If I want deep purple, I use FD&C Blue #1 and that's what I list. I don't know what all ingredients are in LabColors.
