From what I understand Canola can be prone to DOS...So I never even bother using it - I'd stick to the sunflower instead

Hi again,

I though of changing the recipe and omitting palm oil.
here's the recipe I came up with:

Coconut 25%
Olive 30%
Cocoa butter 20%
Sweet almond 5%
Castor 5%
Canola or sunflower? 15%

SP 5%

What do you think? I'd really be grateful if you could give me your ideas.

I would loose the canola oil and put the palm back in. Also I think you should drop your cocoa butter amount down. IMHO

I get the rest of the thread, but why lose the almond? Doesn't that provide extra conditioning?

I use a recipe with almond and avocado (or either), so I am curious.
