I tried Karen's beautiful round today! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scent. What is it? Great lather...I almost washed again I liked it so much. The apricot scrubbiness was nice too. I wonder if I can try them all once (kind of licking food so nobody else eats it!!!) and then leave them lying around my bathroom for the scents????

I lathered up with xyxoxy/Mickey's watermelon nights bar. I thought of taking a picture of it, but then remembered that my photography stinks and wouldn’t do it justice. The packaging so enhanced the soap. The clip art on the label, the green lettering representing the rind color, the red representing the fruit. Opening it and finding the notable quote was like being 16 and opening a fortune cookie, only better because I wasn’t expecting it. There are lots of bubbles in the soap. Big fluffy bubbles, small fluffy bubbles, so many wonderful bubbles!

Nice, fresh fragrance. Just the right balance. Super exfoliation. It was invigorating. My skin, even on my face, felt smooth and clean but not dried out. I'm using it again tonight.

Thank you!

Gosh, I’m gonna have to catch up with some of you and use more than one at a time. DH disappeared with Fatland's shaving bar and Vinca Leaf's salt bar. :)

Mkay, I just ran, so I'm sweaty and stinky. And I have (I know, TMI...) hairy legs. So, it looks like it's down to the lab for me!!! :D

**********

Sushi...do you remember how you did your salt bar? I had one that failed not so much in recipe, but I didn't cut it soon enough and it got cracks and crumbles. This one, i cut what I thought was "too soon" and it was really right on time. They're just about the prettiest bars I've ever made, with the gentle swirling, perfect straight sides, edges. I really love that one.

Hello everyone -

I received my package yesterday in the mail. I was on my way out to a birthday luncheon when my hubby brought in the mail. I paused & grabbed a knife to open it. The aroma was wonderful, I just closed my eyes and took it all in. Since I was late (as usual) I grabbed the box and took it with me! The girls loved all the smells and it was fun to share the experience with my friends (they are all jealous), but I have all kinds of requests for the different scents that everyone chose. They are all wonderful and I can't wait to try them all. I'm starting with fatland's shaving bar, it feels wonderful and I really loved the peach bar I received from the last swap and know I will absolutely love this shaving bar.

Yea! I haven't been able to make anyone particiularly happy at work this week so I am thrilled you all are happy. It makes me smile

My exfoliating bar is Brambleberry's Salty Mariner straight from the bottle, but I can't remember what concentration I used and what oils were used, off the top of my head. It was a base of olive oil and cocnut and the colorant was lab colors aqua, but not as much as recommended to get the aqua color, which made it green, which was my plan.

I just returned from my bike ride to the coffee shop. As I was down there, I decided not to get a latte that I had one waiting for me at home! So when I got home, I showered using fatland's shaving soap first. It was wonderful! lots of bubbles, nice hard bar and nice slip - it has given me inspiration to make some for xmas gifts this year. Thank you so much Quinae, I love it and will be using it til the last drop! I then used Lisa's Gingerbread Latte bar. I love the swirl and it smells just like gingerbread without the calories!!!! Great bar of soap lots & lots of bubbles and very moisturizing, thank you so much.

The next few days can't come fast enough, I can't wait to try out all the bars! I might have to soak in the tub with a few in the evenings with a glass of wine of course.

For my next bike ride I will be using Lisa Johnson's chai latte, my favorite latte at the coffee shop!!!

Hi everyone! Just got a little feedback (no, Spotted Cat did not call me from the bath)!!! But the chai flower does lather a bit yellow from the red palm oil! Sorry in advance! I have since reduced the amount of red palm I use; however, the stuff is soooo good for you that I keep using it. But please be careful and don't use Grandma's heirloom linen washclothes when you try it!

And yes, I did use a bread tube but do not pour raw soap into those puppies as they react with the lye.

Sorry again!

Thanks,

Lisa Johnson

Tonight I felt decadent soaping up with 3 bars. Quinae’s shaving bar. (DH thinks that’s his, but we’re sharing, dammit!) Whoever said it’s like a stick of butter nailed it. Slid so smoothly. I’m done with those pre-softening razors, too. It’s shaving bars from now on. I actually looked forward to shaving my legs with that. It’s a minor miracle.

Amanda’s Rosie Cheeks. Love the rosy center! You weren’t exaggerating when you said that recipe makes a rich, creamy soap. Super creamy lather. My cheeks are rosy and moisturized and so are my face and neck. Boy, am I glad we have ingredients. :D

Leslie’s Lemon Meringue Pie. Another one with rich, creamy lather. The lemon scent made me feel like I was getting some mildly astringent quality, but even if I wasn’t I’m so fresh, clean and moisturized! And clean shaven legs, too! Yippee!

And Vinca Leaf, DH says your salt bar smells great and feels even better. He said it has a LOT of lather. It's a beautiful bar, too.

Thank you, ladies! Much enjoyed.

Mkay, after my run I decided on the Happy Face Bar from RedFishingirl. I was so happy and energized, I thought it appropriate!

The scent...very nice! I am a lemongrass kinda gal, and this one fit the bill. Oh my goodness I can already tell this is a HARD bar of soap. And, I'm so perplexed, because it had light, airy bubbles and there was NO drying sensation at all. I always go more conditioning, less hard, because I'm afraid of peeling someone's skin off! This shows me it *can* be done, and still feel great getting out of the shower!

pdots....legs still hairy.

Forgot to say. . had a comment that my flower separated from the soap. Again, sorry. I even CPOP'd so it would meld. Any ideas how to meld an embed so it actually sticks?

And here is third message of night....since I am on west coat, it just hit midnight.

I just finished a $60 bath ($45 for a split of a very good pinot noir from a client and $15 for the latest hardback True Blood book). I used Spotted Cat's Mango Dreamsickle on right and Leslie's Lemon Meringue on left.

Spotted Cat--Gosh, the funnel got more and more beautiful the more I used the soap. Absolutely stunning funnel. The soap felt great and didn't leave a residue on me (hate residue). Light airy bubbles and great scent. But the rocking part of that soap is how hard and solid it felt, like we were really getting value for that. That's a big bar and I think people will really get their money's worth with that size of bar.

Leslie--Can I get a double next time cause WHAT IS THAT FANTASTIC SCENT? Your bar had dense, heavy bubbles and a very dense feel which was great! Can tell you used yellow oxide for that color? Am I right? But please share that scent because it sticks and sticks, so rare for a lemon. Awesome scent. But I need about 6x more of that bar because I would like to keep having $45 splits and rubbing lemon meringue on me!

I guess I need another book because tomorrow I am doing Rena's soap and the Rose Cheek soap!
