Hello all, it's time for my QOTD.

I use those round Christmas ornament molds that everyone uses. I was wondering if any of you find that these molds have a "lifespan." I've had the same three molds since I started making bath bombs and none of them are cracked, but they're etched from repeated washings and blurred from oil. I've noticed that the bombs don't fall out of the molds as easily as they used to either.

Do any of you notice that after awhile your molds just get too worn down? Or can you use them indefinitely until they actually break? I'm not sure how many total bath bombs I've made with these 3 molds, but I'd wager a guess of around 80 or so.

That has been my problem as well. They are not meant to be used with EO's or FO's. Over time they will get etched making them unusable.

You can get stainless steel ones, but they are expensive.

The plastic ones will eventually crack. I do covet some of the stainless steel ones, but haven't bought any yet - like soapbuddy says, they're expensive. I just keep replacing the plastic ornaments.

I am going to sell De-constructed Bath Bombs.

Also known as the Bath Bomb Crumble, no molds needed
