It's possible this was done with the water slide decals that you print out on your PC.

It's very likely that these are cocoa transfer sheets. Check them out at www.fancyflours.com. This technique will be in my new book, available this fall. But if you follow the chocolate instructions, you will be on your way!

I bet it would be fine. I've ordered them several times and they always arrive in perfect condition. San Diego isn't Palm Springs but it's pretty warm most of the time. Might be a good indication.

Fancy Flours is really awesome. I highly recommend everything from there! Amazing fun stuff!
