I'm brand new to CP soap making, and am using my guest room as my soap curing room. I need to leave the door closed due to my cats, but do have a ceiling fan on at all times in the room. I have only made 6 lbs of soap so far, using EOs as per the Bramble Berry fragrance calculator, but I feel like the scent is already getting a little strong. I try and open the window during the day when the weather is good - but with Texas summer heat and humidity, that won't be an option for very long.
Any tips on how to keep the scent from being too overwhelming? I've read that the scent will lessen over time, but with many batches potential in the early stages at once, I'm worried about it becoming overpowering. Do I need a dehumidifier? Some sort of vent/fan that sucks air out the window (like a room a/c - even though I have central a/c)?
My husband is SOOO supportive of this new endeavor and will do just about anything this room needs - but I want to figure out SOMETHING before he changes his mind because he's tired of smelling the wonderful smells. LOL
Thanks in advance!
