Earlier this year I decided on a method of labeling that is very pretty but now that I'm making larger volumes it's also very time consuming and probably more expensive than it needs to be. Has anyone tried just using removable type labels on the soap itself? I figure the removable ones won't leave a residue, but they also might not stick. I don't want to use boxes and I've tried wrap around labels in the past but even if labeling after a good 4 week cure time they still tend to get too lose over time.

I have also thought about just foregoing the label and making business card size ingredient lists for those who want to know what is in each bar, but then if you do that would you still have to list the weight of the soap as if it's a label? Does anyone weigh the soap for the customer on site? It seems that when busy with several customers that would be time consuming as well.

Love making soap, hate labeling it.

For soap batches on the curing rack, I use a removable label with all the pertinent info. Once cured, mine go into large plastic totes with the label transferred there. Once sold, my soaps go into soap boxes with a proper label.
