If you were concocting your own CP soap recipe and wanted to make, say, 2 pounds of soap, do you want the combined weight of the oils and lye to be 32 oz., or the combined weight of the oils, lye, and water to be 32 oz.? I was wondering, because doesn't all of the water evaporate out of the finished bars?

It is 2 lb total of oil and lye, my recipe is 2# of oils and I always have extra that cannot fit into BB's 2 lb loaf mold

You need to account for both oils and lye for the mold, even though once cured, the water will evaporate. You need to make a bigger batch then 2 lbs. if you want to end up with 2 lbs. of cured soap.
