A majority of my recipes call for mixed bases and lately I have been ordering bulk amounts. I have found that it is much easier to store these amounts by cutting them into smaller blocks and storing them in air tight containers that I have labeled. If I am planning to make a large batch of mixed base soap I will go ahead and cut my blocks, measure them out by weight, melt them down, mix them, and then remold them into a big block that I cut into smaller more manageable/store-able blocks that are again kept in air tight labeled containers until Im ready to use them.
I have a very small craft space-1 eight foot table and an IKEA type wardrobe storage unit I bought at a garage sale that I added shelves to in the space where one would have hung clothing. So, staying tidy and organized keeps my hobby from overtaking the house.
