We're having extreme hot weather here. I don't normally gel, but I wanted to experiment. I made a batch, lightly covered with plastic wrap to keep dust and dirt out and put it on the back patio table. Within a half hour the soap was in FULL gel! It was around 120 degrees out today. It's a dry heat with no humidity. I brought the soap back in because I was afraid the soap would overheat. One way to cook your soap and it's eco friendly.

And it is unusually cool here in Texas for July. High today of 94. Normally, 105 or so.

Yep, it's roasting time in Las Vegas too! 115 - 119 (and I don't give a rat's behind if it's dry heat -- it is still dangerously hot)! Of course, we can be grateful we aren't silly enough to live in Death Valley at 138 degrees. And we've only just begun . . .

If I walked outside in those temperatures, I'd gel too so I'm not surprised that your soap did quickly. :lol:

Wow, in the trunk? hahaha.....well it's hot as ever here in Oklahoma. About 103 again... It's funny that I'm reading this now because a couple of days ago, I turned on the oven to force gel for the first time. Guess I just should have put it out on the patio :lol:
