I'm working on an idea for Christmas (yes, I know it's only June)
I've tried several "techniques" for creating a 1 inch or so round sphere without using a mold. Size does not have to be exact, although I'd like them not to vary too much. I've had some success using a frosting recipe with Castile liquid soap, but I don't like the olive oil base smell and the balls are feather light. I'd like a little "heft" to them. I've tried melon baller, ice cream scoop, other kitchen utensils (and just a gloved hand) to grab warm soap from a container (both from the stove's double boiler and from the microwave) and rolling it like dough or clay. Would love to figure out a way to "dip" them, using, perhaps, a small piece of plain base as the center. I'll keep working on it, but figured someone may have already figured this out.
Thanks.
