Teach Soap

I need some help with a fragrance. I have a friend who is pregnant and she wants some of my body butters to give as gifts for her shower. She was thinking rosemary mint but I said no rosemary while pregnant. What else goes with mint? I am having a complete brain fart. TIA for any recommendations.

Pregnant women should stay away from peppermint as well since it can launch them into preterm labor. When I was going to school for manicuring, this was one of the things they emphatically stressed to us!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using rosemary in soap while pregnant, or even in eating it. Have you ever been told not to eat rosemary seasoning in your soup or on your lamb chops when you were pregnant? The only time rosemary is ill-advised is when it is used as an herbal supplement, which means in large(r) quantities, and/or when referring to the internal ingestion of essential oils, as in medicinal quantities.

I'm with ljm1180 - Lavender Mint is a really popular combination! I've also seen Lemon Lavender Mint which is an interesting twist.

Well I gave her some options and she went with a completely different scent. Lemon Verbena and Vetyver. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will keep them in mind for future uses.
