I got BBs crisp apple rose as a sample and LOVED it it was fruity and very florally then I got 4oz when it was on sale and it smells very awful like the green apple jolly rancher for anyone who has it I was wondering what yours smelled like

I haven't ever tried that one, but samples are a small amount and 4 ounces is a lot more concentrated smell. You really need to see what it is like once you use it in a product and allow it to set up in that product, because the scent can change dramatically. Sometime they even disappear and come back. So you may well still love this once you try it out!

I did do it in MP and it still smelled different... and not in the good way

You may still want to try a small, 1lb batch in cp. A lot of FO's smell differently in the different types of soaps too. Of course you amy still get it worked 6 ways to sundown and still dislike it, but since you loved it in the 1/2 oz bottle, I am thinking you may love it in something........one can hope. All else failes, trade that puppy off to someone for something you do like!

Sorry, this particular forum doesn't have a trading/selling/co-op section, although some do. I just meant for you to trade with a friend or someone you know. Maybe somebody will see this here and private message you, but short of that, if you join other soaping forums, many have sections just for swapping or buying. It is sometimes referred to as "destashing"

Can you please post the results when you get your new one. I loved the sample too but haven't had a chance to order yet. It's on my wishlist. I'd be interested to know what you think cuz green jolly rancher wasn't quite what I was hoping for either.

I got a Crisp Apple Rose sample and didn't think it had a strong scent in M&P soap, but mixed with the Hot Apple Pie FO it was good. I have a jug of lotion base that I use to mix little 2 oz purse size lotions and I used the Crisp Apple Rose in one the other day. It smells lovely in the lotion! The scent doesn't last long once it's rubbed in so it's not overpowering, but it smells nice when it's first squeezed out of the bottle. This is a plus for me because I don't want my lotion scent to compete with my perfume, but I love to get a little whiff of it when I put it on.

Thanks I was going to use to use it for body butter and I like my scents to behave that way too.
