I have had some of my soaps ash and some that have not. Does fo have anything to do with this or maybe gel-phase? I Always soap @ 100 degrees. Is soap ash harmful or just an unappealing nuisance?

Yes you can rinse them off. Or steam it off.

When I increased my water portion to allow for more play time I got bad ash, once I stopped doing that the ash has mostly disappeared.
