Teach Soap

This may seem like a dumb question. I was wanting to make a bigger batch then I am used to. I usually make 32 oz. at a time. My ? is- If I pour my base to my cupcakes and then go back later after they have hardened can I add my "frosting" to the already hardened "cake"? I am asking this because I have a special order that she wants a mix of scent. I don't have a whole lot of time to clean my utensils in between. I will be using a scent fo that accelerates trace so by the time I get the base done and wash my utensils for the other scent and start on my "frosting" it's going to be thickened. It's too expensive to have any mishaps. I only have 4 batches under my belt and make 7 cupcakes at a time. She only wants 2 mixed for her order and I will be using the rest of my fo on my regular soap cupcakes.

I always make my cupcake bases first & then come back a day or 2 later (sometimes a week) to frost them. I've never had a problem with them not sticking.

This is a great question. I have never made multi-colored soap before. Does one make the two tiered ones by adding a new batch/color of soap on top of a hardened previous made batch? How do you make the multi-colored ones? Use two different pots with two different colors and simple swirl them together? Thanks for any help you can provide a newby.

The soaps in this picture were made by embedding well cured soap (the dark soap was over 2 months old) into brand new soap. I am currently using one of the bars in this photo - on the left. They stick very well. However, the newer soap is wearing away a little faster. It appears that its best to use the same recipe when combining soap like this so they wear away at the same rate.
