I would like to ask for some recipes and tips :) for a nice liquid soap that is moisturizing and lathers some. I have tried the BB goat milk base but it is really thick and doesn't lather. Besides I want to use what I want to use in my soaps once I get some good recipes to go by. So I want to try makeing my soap from scratch.

I want to make a nice moisturizing liquid soap and some customers who are asking for moisturizinhg liquid soap but with some lather too. I saw one recipe on the forum using water, and glycerin and then someone mentioned analmond soap, I believe. I have tried a goat milk base at BB but didnt care for it. It was real thick and didnt lather. Had a couple of others try it and they said the same.

Handmade liquid soap will never have as much lather as the commercial liquid soaps that are made with synthetic surfactants.
You can experiment with all coconut oil liquid soap, but you might find it drying. It should have better bubbles though.

I bought some 20% potassium cocoate (same as home made liquid soap from coconut oil only) and the lather is really good. I believe it's sold mainly for use in hospitals etc. I did find it too drying. I've still got it sitting around, because it won't blend with synthetics - the pH messes everything up - and I haven't figured out how to make it more 'friendly'. Maybe it would work well for laundry use?

Irena, I didn't know that so its a good explanation for my customers. Can you point me toward some good moisturizing liquid soap recipes. The reply about the lotions and body butters was helpful. Thank you
