Teach Soap

I did melt and pour soap for about 2 years and I have finally worked up the courage to make CP soap. I am still a bit nervous though. I have found in my research and studying that there are different opinions on what to do and what not to do. It is kind of confusing to me when one source says one thing and another source says something different. I guess I will figure it out though. I do have one question; I was using M&P clear glycerin soap and was wondering if there is a way to make the clear glycerin soap from scratch?

Making clear glycerin soap is difficult. That's not something I would recommend to someone that's very new to cold process soapmaking. Get some regular batches of cold process soap under your belt first.

I turned my laundry room into my soap supply storage room. I have it all organized and made room for my new supplies when they arrive.

I've been soaping for a good long time and I have a recipe for melt and pour soap. Still I haven't even tried it. For my mind too many steps!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I am building up quite a stockpile, but fortunately my laundry room has lots of cabinets. As for the clear glycerin soap I guess I will stick to melt and pour. I had some problems with it though. I have tried two different kinds and one was too soft, hard to work with as far as getting the visual effects, and melted really fast in the water, but had a good lather. The other one I tried was too hard, but it was easy to work with on getting the visual effects, and lasted a long time, but has almost no lather. Does anyone know of any good quality M&P suppliers?

Try the MP bases from Bramble Berry! They are really nice bases, and they behave super well.

I also agree that your laundry room better be huge.. there is SO much stuff to try, and clearly you'll need at least 3 of everything LOL
