Teach Soap

Does anyone have suggestions where I might look locally for Shea butter?? I can mailorder it but would like to try to find it locally.

If you have a Whole Foods near you, I've heard that some of them carry it.

I've seen it at local health food stores as well. Unfortunately for me, everything is more to buy locally ($11 for a lb of coconut oil)

If you want some right away, health food stores like Whole Foods and your local places are an option. These will be very over-priced though, and it's harder to find raw butter in that case than a refined/manufactured butter. I'd recommend finding a large online supplier near you who can get the order out within 24 hours and you'll have it by early next week.

Thanks all. I was thinking of trying a new recipe with shea butter and didn't want to buy a bunch till I see how it goes.

You can always use it for cooking if you don't use it in soap

or whipped body butter or lip balm or.....
